Fred E .Wasson, born in Parkersburg, WV, retired after 21 years in the United States Navy as a Chief Petty Officer - Chief Electricians Mate Sea Bee. Fred served two tours in Vietnam. Fred was a Lifetime member of VFW Post 4931 and American Legion Post 614. Fred was serving as Quartermaster for VFW Post 4931 up until being diagnosed with cancer last month. Fred will truly be missed and will never be forgotten.

The cause was complications of cancer due to exposure of Agent Orange in Vietnam.

Preceded in death by parents and 1 brother. Survived by loving wife, Donna of 52 years; daughters, Diane, Brenda (David), Teresa, Deborah (Jim); grandchildren, Melanie, Tracy, Troy, Bill, Larry, Kelly, Duncan, Maggie; great-grandchildren, Logan, Kyhara, Tylin, Jordan; brothers, Charles (Ruth), Howard (Marguerite); sister, Verna Ruth; and friends at BC Transportation.
